Philippe Clement has confirmed that striker Kemar Roofe is also not fit to feature for the full 90 minutes this afternoon as the new manager takes the dugout for the first time at Rangers.

Missing Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo, Clement has confirmed that Roofe, Cantwell, Jack and Danilo will be available for the match, but none from the start, as all four continue their rehabilitation from injury.

These are welcome returns, although Ecuador’s Jose Cifuentes will also be unavailable, as we reported yesterday, meaning Rangers have just three men out which already spells a massive improvement to the injury blight dogging the squad the past month or so.

It’s far from ideal to have injuries, but the fact Rangers have just three men out entirely for now is a definite improvement and more than a bit telling that four men are available following injury since Clement was appointed.

Clement will debut at Ibrox for the first time today as Nick Montgomery’s Hibs come to Govan hoping to spoil the Belgian’s maiden bow in Glasgow’s south side.
