Rangers fans appear to be done with midfielder John Lundstram after the latest news from Philippe Clement confirmed the ex-Sheffield midfielder has rejected a number of offers from the club and is destined to leave this summer.

Ibrox Noise polled our readers over this latest development, asking if the club should pay Lundstram his circa-£35K pw wage demand or not, and the answer was pretty overwhelming to say the least.

Of around 4500 votes and counting, a staggering 95% believe Rangers should let Lunny go, and only 5% believed he was worth putting up the cash for.

We have to say, had this poll been carried out before Rangers’ (and Lunny’s) form crash of 6 weeks ago, the numbers would have been completely different, because every report we published back then and earlier discussing his £35K wage was greeted by ‘get it paid’.

Changed times indeed.

With Rangers’ league form dip, Lundstram has also looked jaded and some distance off the player he was earlier in the season, and fans see that and immediately reject any idea of £35,000 pw on him.

We agree tbh.

We do like Lunny a lot, but we can’t justify that amount of money on a player who we will get no return on and who can’t dominate or even impress in Old Firm matches.

So as much as we rate the boy, we wouldn’t pay the money he’s looking for either, and for us his Rangers adventure ends this summer.

We got him for free, we’ve had 3+ years out of him, and he absolutely conducted himself well while also being able to play a bit, so there’s no real hard feelings.

He loves Rangers and would stay, but not for the wage Rangers are offering.

So that’s where it ends.

Trabzonspor? Maybe, another Rangers player misguided choosing Turkey – it’s not the best place to go to play your football we must say.

Maybe he’s hoping for a Saudi offer…
