We may take this with a slight pinch of salt, ish, because it comes from the same source who told us Ben Davies would be sold in the summer, but Heart & Hand have alleged that Ridvan Yilmaz and Cyriel Dessers will leave Rangers next month, with their also having repeated our report from some days ago that Kieran Dowell will exit similarly.

Let’s look at the latest two names mentioned, with us already having covered Dowell’s imminent departure…

Yilmaz is gone – he’s had enough. We’ve been pointing this out for weeks/months on Ibrox Noise, that the Turkish international has been here 16 months and has nothing to show for it. We talk about Tav and Goldson being untouchable at Rangers, Borna seems pretty close to that too in truth. And the Croat has remained first choice with the Turk not getting any real look in.

We don’t blame Ridvan for wanting out, and the club doesn’t seem that fussed about him. Whether his exit is truly Rangers or player-initiated, it’s a £6M signing that’s just not worked out.

And then we have Dessers. While not an abysmal failure, he’s not been a raging success either and he’s not popular with fans. Mostly viewed as a slightly less poor Lammers, the Nigeria international was absolutely thrilled with the move to Rangers, and seemed to feel like he’d truly succeeded in life. But it didn’t really click, did it.

He’s had to deal with not being Antonio Colak and being double, triple the price, and being tarred with the Beale Brush which just isn’t a good look, but ultimately it’s another £6M waste of money which hasn’t worked.

We have defended the former Feyenoord man here on Ibrox Noise, but his signing certainly hasn’t been value for the fortune paid on him.

And it looks like he’s on his way.

Along with Dowell and the Turk.

And that will be that.
