We’ve been getting a lot of mail and we’re seeing quite a bit of content about Glen Kamara and his travails at Leeds.

In short, a lot of supporters slightly raising an eyebrow about how well the former Rangers midfielder is being received in England, and how he’s thriving at Leeds.

‘Where was that player for us?’-type comments.

Anyone who ever thought Glen Kamara wasn’t a great player doesn’t have a clue about football, and he proved his quality many times with Rangers.

The problem was he downed tools at Ibrox a long time ago and had been seeking his move away for the best part of 18 months to two years.

And now with a new lease of life in a new club and league Kamara is back to his best, and will either get his Premier League move next season, or get promoted with Leeds this campaign.

It’s no surprise – Neil McCann called it out years ago, that this boy was destined for the top of the game – it has taken a very long time for it to start happening, but Kamara is a rare example of a Rangers player these days impressing at his new gig and shining – of course, the Championship is a different animal to the Premier League but we have little doubt we’ll see him at the top level.

But no, he was never going to show that at Rangers again – he’d had enough, wanted out, and now he has a new life in England.

Do we wish him well? Not really. We don’t really care – his attitude at Ibrox was extremely unprofessional in the end, and he more or less forced his move to Leeds – he was absolutely desperate to get away. We did at least get around £4M for him.

We wish him no ill, of course, and he did say nice things about us of course in his departure message, but that is that really.

And as we say, Leeds are now getting the real Kamara. Good luck to them.
