Glen Kamara is officially a Leeds player after the former Rangers midfielder FINALLY put pen to paper and sealed a £5.5M move to Elland Road, spelling the end of his and Rangers’ mutual nightmare over his position, as he at LONG LONG last sealed his deal and exited Rangers.

We are absolutely and utterly delighted to be rid of this absolute charlatan, who decided long ago that Rangers wasn’t for him, but completely downed tools to get his move away.

Not just the loss of Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo – that just didn’t help matters – Kamara already had it in his mind to move on about 24 months ago, and barely offered a thing on the pitch thereafter.

He was ‘acceptable’ on the road to Sevilla, but he was playing for his move to the Premier League, which of course never surfaced, and when he also didn’t get his move to Nice which fell through, he absolutely downed tools under Giovanni van Bronckhorst and made it clear to Michael Beale his future was elsewhere.

And the-then new Rangers manager still selected him for the first 12 or so matches, by his own admission, aware the boy wanted to leave.

If ever a ridiculous saga was long and drawn out, it was this, but thankfully Rangers got a tidy profit for a £50,000 player, and we can draw a line under this sorry affair.

Do we wish him the best? It’s hard to. He’s been exceptionally unprofessional for so much of his Ibrox stay, that all the good he did in his first couple of seasons were undone wildly thereafter.

We don’t hold grudges, and we don’t wish ill on Glen Kamara, but can he look himself in the mirror and say he gave everything to Rangers and left everything out on the pitch.

If he can, we wish him well. But we doubt it.

Goodbye Glen.
