Rangers fans are completely fed up of the name Glen Kamara
BLACKPOOL, ENGLAND - JULY 16: Glen Kamara of Rangers is tackled by Kenneth Dougall of Blackpool during the Pre-Season Friendly match between Blackpool and Rangers at Bloomfield Road on July 16, 2022 in Blackpool, England.

Glen Kamara’s long-awaited Rangers exit COULD be sealed next week with transfer source The Fourth Official claiming the Finnish star is close to his departure.

The 27-year-old has been the most protracted exit from Rangers in years, with his time in Govan being over probably as far back as pre-Sevilla, but the predicted sale of him has taken a staggeringly long time to materialise, with suggestion from sources that it was destined to be Leeds but Kamara ‘changed his mind’ at the last minute and that fell apart.

All we know now is this new vague claim that Kamara is close, finally, to a switch, and it must be said it any Ibrox exit has been longer and more drawn out than this one, we can’t remember it.

Rangers will not tolerate another season of Kamara, he will not be playing for this club again, and if the sale cannot be secured it will be 100% ‘mutual consent’ because Kamara couldn’t want to play for the club less than he does now, nor could the club want him around any less than it does.

He has wanted away for a long time, with all sources confirming he was close to Calvin Bassey and Joe Aribo, and not only missed them for their exits, but was jealous and resentful of both getting their big moves away while he remained ‘stuck’ at Ibrox.

This built up some resentment after his own £10M sale to Nice fell through, and the Finn’s head hasn’t been in the Rangers game at all since – he’s frustrated he didn’t get his £10M exit but Aribo especially got his.

So the idea he’s ‘close’ to an exit is rather vague, and he’s been ‘close’ for some time – effectively 20+ months now.

Let’s say we hope TFO is right on this one, and the announcement confirmed next week because we’re fed up with the name Glen Kamara now and the sooner we can stop publishing articles about his overly-long exit, the better.

It’s boring everyone to tears now.

  1. It’s still reported to be Leeds leading the way (pun intended) it was hinged on the sale of Tyler Adams to Bournemouth which is now finalized and according to Fabrizio Romano the purchase of Kamara to Leeds should pick up speed this week. We can keep purview fingers, toes, legs, arms & anything else for that matter crosses and hope for the best. 🤞🏼🤞🏼💙💙

      • You know I’ve just checked it again and he does mention about Tyler Adams going to Bournemouth and I could’ve sworn when I read it initially it mentioned Leeds needing to wait until deal was finalized before they could turn there attention to Kamara and this in turn was going to let MB get another player in before the window closed. Maybe im going crazy. 💙💙
