Rangers legend Graeme Souness has confirmed he was fired from Sky Sports after the former pundit left the channel following decades of service.

The ex-Sampdoria and Liverpool star had become a well-respected commenter on Sky, with years of commentary on the various Premier League matches as well as guest-starring on a few Old Firm clashes as well, but he announced his exit from the broadcaster earlier in the season.

There was a lot of speculation about why he was quitting, but Souness himself has said he was fired, after being ‘asked’ to leave rather than his own willingness to step down following long service.

So, why did Sky Sports want rid of the highly-regarded pundit?

Because he said something the extreme lefties didn’t like, that’s what.

Speaking during Chelsea’s draw with Spurs in August last season, Souness said:

“It’s a man’s game all of a sudden, again. I think we’ve got our football back, as I would enjoy football … men at it, blow-for-blow, and the referee letting them get on with it.”

The left-sided agenda, rather than understanding what this actually meant, leapt at Souness, including show’s producers who yelled in presenter David Jones’ earpiece:

“It’s also a woman’s game as well.”

And this got Souness forced into an apology, and ultimately fired from the channel.

The ridiculousness of this is beyond words. When we call football a ‘man’s game’ it has absolutely NOTHING to do with gender. It has everything to do with the rough and tumble of the sport being lost in recent times with players rolling around and being hands off. Indeed, women’s football is infinitely more respectable at times with the women taking a beating off each other and just getting on with it. Little simulation or nonsense there.

And when Souness said this phrase, he meant metaphorically – players being physical and taking no prisoners, not that it was literally for the male of the species and not the female.

The way the world has become thanks to BLM, MeToo and ‘woke’ nonsense has cost an honest man his job, with a single breath out of place getting pounced on by the looney left.

And Sky, sadly, are one of the main drivers of this new agenda, promoting everything left-wing and giving no position to anything which is more central or even slightly right.

So Souness had absolutely no chance.

Come back to Rangers, you know it makes sense!
