One day to go – two out but how many in for Rangers

With one day left before tomorrow’s deadline, it appears Stephen Kelly is off to Livi and Niko Katic to Zurich.

It doesn’t seem like Rangers are going to make any further additions, and that’s really no surprise given just 6 days from qualifying for the UCL group phase to the window ending.

There just wasn’t any time, which you can bet on, here.

Yes, we got some major funds and yes, financially the club can now afford investment, but despite a few issues in our squad (albeit Gio says he’s happy with the group) with depth and options, (with all of defence, midfield and striker really needing another body each), it appears no further signings will arrive, save for a miracle.

No, the only work we’re going to do is trying to finally ship out the last two of the Surplus Six, after Hastie, Simpson, Zukowski and Middleton all got their moves out of Rangers, with only one of them being a loan.

And that sees Katic and Kelly desperately trying to sort out their moves – because their Rangers careers are completely finished.

Indeed, both players being absent from last night’s B team (effectively that’s what it was) prevailing over Queen of the South summed up how done they are at Ibrox.

So we wish them both the best in finding new clubs.

As for those incomings, yeah, it is 99% not happening, not unless a shock situation surfaces in the next 24 hours.

We doubt that’s going to be Ronaldo, btw…

Ahhh, the window…

  1. Like a lot of other supporters,I have been very worried about the lack of depth in the squad.if 2 to 4 of our major players are out, whose going to supply the same ability.sakala matondo,Wright, young Leon king.you have got to be kidding.we have loads of important games coming up,and with a heavy schedule injuries are a very likely possibility.could this cost us big time before January window,we wait to see!.
