What can you say about tonight’s match by way of a preview that hasn’t already been said? Not a lot, one would suggest. Perhaps, given the magnitude of what’s on the line, we can look at some reasons to be optimistic? We’ve kept it concise, but here we give you the A-Z of reasons to be hopeful tonight.

A – ALFREDO. He’s back! No doubt he’ll have a say if required.

B – BRAGA. Remember how we turned it around against them, and they’re far better than this mob.

C – COLAK. Scored at the weekend and confidence will be high. More of the same please.

D – DORTMUND. We beat one of the best teams in Europe by 2 goals on their own patch.

E – EXPERIENCE. We know what it’s all about at this level, Union are surely feeling the pressure.

F – FINAL. You don’t get to the final of the Europa League without being a quality European side.

G – GIO. We spoke about how his home record in Europe is far superior to his away record.

H – HISTORY. We’ve been here before, we have played Champions League football. Union haven’t.

I – IBROX. “Ibrox baby, it’s just different”.

J – JON LUNDSTRAM. He’s due another magic moment, just like Leipzig – he’s the best on Earth.

K – KENT? We understand he isn’t fully fit, he could play a vital part from the bench.

L – LEARN FROM MISTAKES. Our coaching team have surely adapted based on last week.

M – MOMENTUM. We won at the weekend, they didn’t, regardless of it being a fringe team.

N – NO SURRENDER. This one speaks for itself.

O – ODDS. We’ve gone from 4/1 to about 5/2 in the last 48 hours – punters fancy our chances.

P – POSESSION. We had 58% over there, we’ll surely have even more tonight and make it count.

Q – QUICK. We can hurt them with pace – Matondo, Tillman, right at them from the start.

R – RANGERS. Quite simply, we’re Rangers – that in itself is a reason to be confident.

S – SUBS. Gio does know how to make the right subs at the right time.

T – TAV. We know he loves European nights, specifically at Ibrox, he normally delivers.

U – UNION. Let’s not forget who we’re up against here, hardly Dortmund, Leipzig or Braga!

V – VALUE. According to transfermarket.com, our squad is worth £118.13m, theirs- £28.25m.

W – WRIGHT. How hard did this lad try last week, if everyone adopts the same approach…

X- X MARKS THE SPOT. Those 3 magic words – “penalty to Rangers” and “up steps Tavernier”.

Y – YILMAZ. He’ll be desperate to make up for the weekend and prove himself on the big stage.

Z – Zambia. Likely no place for Sakala, we can all breathe a sigh of relief.

We know that this was scraping the barrel in some cases due to alphabetical confinement, however there are some letters we could have produced dozens for. Please feel free to share your own reasons in the comments section. In the meantime, we’ll end with a second one for “W”.

WE ARE THE PEOPLE!!!
