Ibrox Noise understands that, contrary to reports from Nigeria, Joe Aribo is yet to make a decision on his future, and may still be open to signing after all.

The 25-year old has been the toast of the season, and reports from down south allege Watford, Brentford and Palace are looking at him.

Nigerian press claimed he had decided he wasn’t interested in a new deal, and talks to that nature had broken down.

We understand that isn’t the case, and nothing is finalised yet.

We reported the Nigerian story and quoted that source due to their reliable history, but this may be one they have wrong.

For his part, the in-form maestro put in another stunning show yesterday, stealing the limelight with a superb goal and another all-round wonderful performance: he didn’t look like a player who seeks a move any time soon.

Possibly he’s changed his mind, but our sources aren’t aware of any truth to the Nigerian press’s claims at all.

And there you have it.
