Rangers are to face German giants Borussia Dortmund and Norway’s superstar Erling Haaland after the Westfalenstadion side came out of the hat to face Giovanni’s men in today’s Europa League draw.

The second placed side in the Bundeslia will welcome Rangers in February in about as big a test as Gio’s Gers could have had, with the form the Germans are in being second only to the mighty Bayern, and their hitman too excelling.

Indeed, Haaland’s stats are quite literally mind-boggling.

171 matches played, 123 goals scored. At just 21 that’s beyond record-breaking, and it’s only continued this season. 11 goals in 9 matches with a ludicrous 9 assists.

Connor Goldson will have his work cut out, if he’s still at Ibrox.

But we have to say, it’s a hell of a tie.

It’s not just Haaland, there’s Hazard, Reus, Hummels, Bellingham, Can, Witsel, and Meunier to name just 7 other world class talents the Germans can boast.

If Rangers fans wanted a glamour tie and easily the toughest team they could face in the playoff round, they got it.

Bring it on!
