Rangers’ incoming windfall over Sam Lammers doubled down yesterday after the on-loan Utrecht striker nailed a club-record-breaking 8th strike in a row in 7 league matches.
Not only has he scored 7 Eredivisie matches in a row, but he’s scored 8 goals in those 7 matches, shattering the previous record of 6 in a row, which has absolutely rocketed his price tag.
Ibrox Noise explained that with Lammers’ return to his old Eredivisie form at which level Atalanta paid £8M for him, Rangers can realistically expect something approaching that region for him in light of his restored form of 4+ years ago (which, of course, only happens in Holland).
And that form has alerted Feyenoord, as we reported some days ago, and of course the more the form continues, the higher the stock gets, and his 3+ year Rangers contract becomes valuable.
Meaning Rangers get back, either from Utrecht or Feyenoord (or AN Other) something far heftier than the £3M we spent on his signature.
And that’s only going to be aided by all the form he’s showing in Holland as we speak, with all the records he’s now breaking.
Sam Lammers could score 100 goals in the next 10 matches and there still wouldn’t be a single Rangers fan who wants the ‘striker’ back at Ibrox, so there’s no danger of him returning.
The plan is to recoup big cash for him this summer, and that will be hugely boosted by the better his form gets at Utrecht.
Keep it going, Sam…
