Continued transfer silence from Rangers is unsettling

Ibrox Noise, usually, at this point of a transfer window, is inundating you with transfer stories and player names linked with a switch to the Mighty Rangers.

Most transfer windows see name-after-name connected with our club, with agents trying hawk deals and information about who we seek flooding into the wires and channels.

But… not this window.

This has been the hardest window we can remember for getting accurate information, and while we have brought you a few stories, it’s not been the usual level of ITK gossip we’d get in previous windows.

Rangers have absolutely shut up shop this window, no moles, no leaks, no information to anyone.

Whatever you think of the board, they have done an incredible job of keeping stories out of the press, and strangling the oxygen of sites who rely on transfer trash to keep themselves afloat.

The lies from Fraser Fletcher is the depths some will go to to create a story, given they are getting nothing from the club itself.

Ibrox Noise gets some information, but honestly, 99% of it is garbage so we don’t run with it.

We’d never insult our readers with clickbait, even if we are accused of publishing some now and again.

This window we have been genuinely linked with so few players aside Shankland, Smal, Beck and one or two others. Literally about four or five names total, unless you include claims online that we had bids rejected for Scott McKenna and Kevin Denkey. Which we don’t – fiction like everything else.

The vast majority has been false, and ‘exclusive sources’ have been filled with utter rubbish.

We started the window by saying we were seeing more speculation than any previous window, and at the time it was true, but that’s all it was – speculation.

Even manager Philippe Clement admits it’s all rumours.

In terms of real info coming out?

Zero. Absolutely nothing.

Or is it because absolutely no one is coming?
