Heart and Hand have backtracked a little from their previous claim that Cyriel Dessers, Kieran Dowell and Ridvan Yilmaz are to leave Rangers, having said so during a live podcast show.

Speaking on their Twitter account, the fan source suggested their previous comments were actually just conjecture, and not ‘to be taken as gospel’, but this isn’t how it was presented at the live show at Edmiston House.

Indeed, it was quite the opposite, and the comments spread like wildfire as a result, and it’s obviously well-known that H&H (David Edgar and co) have connections inside the club thanks to their being a commercial partner, so would never have said something like this without basis.

But because nothing is ‘official’ and cannot be portrayed as such, the group will dangle titbits into cyberspace and then pour some cold water on them afterwards.

And that’s deliberate.

They cannot undermine the club by leaking out all these stories, but it’s important to get some info ‘unofficially’ out, and by then, the cat is out of the Rangers bag so to speak.

And it is pretty clear Yilmaz, Dowell and Dessers have no futures at the club, and will seek new employers in due course.

We’d certainly hope they won’t be the only ones headed out.

There are also some murmurs that Todd Cantwell and Sam Lammers have both asked to leave as well, with Cantwell’s fallout with Philippe Clement well-documented, while Lammers just isn’t working out as a player in Govan and seeks a new challenge.

Whether those stories come true time will tell, but we do suspect a lot of change is coming in January, and it’s badly-needed.
