Rangers face Hearts in Mount Florida for a prized place in the League Cup final to face a fortunate Aberdeen who only just scraped their way past Hibs in the first semi, so what team is manager Philippe Clement likely to select for the showpiece occasion?

Well, defence pretty much selects itself – we’ll be very surprised if he deviates from Dundee, so Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun and Ridvan.

Midfield sees some returning options in Jose Cifuentes – Lundstram and Jack are what the manager probably favours though.

In attack, Abdallah Sima will be the left, and Sam Lammers will keep his place, with Scott Wright on the right. Danilo up top. It worked very well v Dundee and we can’t see the manager changing it much.

The only changes might see Todd Cantwell start, but we can’t justify that given his form isn’t sparkling and Lammers nailed a goal and assist at Dens. Jose Cifuentes probably won’t get a start just yet and those are the only two we’d suggest have any kind of case.

So your Ibrox Noise XI, same as Dundee:

Butland; Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Ridvan; Lundstram, Jack; Sima, Lammers, Wright; Danilo.

Maybe Big Phil will want to change and freshen things up, but we can’t see it.

But we’ll see come around 2pm what setup he’s gone with.
