We’re finding ourselves very amused by the climate of the press the past day. As we all know, Bill Leckie of the s*n attacked both Rangers and new manager Philippe Clement in a ridiculous ramble based on hearsay and nonsense, a fabricated slur no less.
But today?
The press is (mostly) filled with both Rangers and Celtic men praising Clement and the club!
You’ve got Jack Hendry, ragin’ tim praising Clement as the man who took him to Brugge, you have an ex-team mate of Clement’s praising his sporting integrity over money, you’ve got Ian Ferguson also lauding that same principle and ex-Celtic man Joos Valgaeren recking Clement will thrive under the Rangers pressure. This is in the Herald, Record etc.
The only ones still attacking the club and Clement are the s*n, and yes, that includes regular columnist Kris Boyd.
Indeed, he undermines the new manager by saying he’d rather have had Steve Clarke which pretty much sums up the d******* stuff the guy frequently comes out with now that he’s been completely swallowed up by the Sky and s*n machine.
Only yesterday we praised Boyd for being one of us, but the reality is his comments about Ally McCoist some time ago were bang out of order, and he frequently makes barbs in the wrong directions.
Instead of getting wholeheartedly behind Clement, he digs at him by saying he wanted Clarke.
But if we ignore this garbage, the press is very much favouring Rangers and Clement right now, with praise from all directions including Celtic.
Pity one of our supposed own is the only one smearing the whole thing.
Clarke ffs another DUD
Boydy must be getting high on the white smile tothpaste idiot
