With Belgian midfielder Nico Raskin’s injury the latest to add to the Ibrox Injury Insanity (we should patent that) Ibrox Noise wanted to go through the state of play with the Rangers squad as things stand, fitness-wise, and see where we are.

So without further ado:

In defence, Dujon Sterling remains unavailable, having not played for quite some time. It’s been a real pickle and Clement has been unable to call upon him. Leon Balogun is returning to fitness and is in training, having played for the B side, but was not used for yesterday’s Hearts win. Borna Barisic remains uncertain – Clement has confirmed he wouldn’t try to guess when the Croat would be back.

Midfield sees Jose Cifuentes eking his way back, but we’re not sure if he’ll be available for the next one. He’s been out since the international break. Nico Raskin is now added to the pile, having sustained a knock yesterday. Kieran Dowell was back on the bench yesterday after a long term absence.

Attack mercifully sees Tom Lawrence coming back in at last, and we hope it’s for good, but Kemar Roofe is long term again. He remains a disaster. Rabbi Matondo continues to nurse himself after a bad one.

And up front, no injuries at all. This is one area Rangers are good in – Dessers, Lammers and Danilo are all available, the Brazilian is now mostly fit again completely.

So, in summary:

Unavailable:

Dujon Sterling, Borna Barisic, Nico Raskin, Kemar Roofe, Rabbi Matondo.

Uncertain/returning:

Leon Balogun, Jose Cifuentes, Tom Lawrence, Kieran Dowell.

So five men are definitely out, and four are sort of coming back.

How you view the situation depends on how you look at it we suppose. But 9 men with question marks over them isn’t great.
