Michael Beale has confirmed Rangers have a fully-fit squad for Ross County aside just Turkey’s Ridvan Yilmaz after revealing both Tom Lawrence and Kemar Roofe will travel to Dingwell this weekend.
Rangers had a few injury concerns but aside from surplus players who obviously won’t make the trip the squad is in very good shape indeed with both Roofe and Lawrence now available and traveling north.
There is no one else unfit, with all other injury cases returning, or having been freed, in the case of tragic Nnambi Ofoborh.
This means Rangers’ squad is healthier than it has been for years, to have just one injury doubt – and is there any coincidence the return of Mark Waller was a month or two ago?
Yes, the arrival back of the good Doctor seems to have made a massive difference to injuries – with few now plaguing the club other than the odd knock here and there which is natural in the course of football.
Instead, it’s Celtic across the road who have lost their entire defence to injury and will be a host of first-team players down by the time we host them at Ibrox next month. Funny how things change isn’t it…
But back to us, and Yilmaz’ return, which we hope is soon, will mean Michael Beale will have:
Butland, McCrorie, McLaughlin, Wright, Tavernier, Devine, Sterling, Souttar, Goldson, Balogun, Davies, Barisic, Yfeko, Jack, Lundstram, Cifuentes, Raskin, Cantwell, Dowell, Lawrence, Sima, Matondo, Roofe, Wright, Lammers, Danilo, Dessers.
Unless we’ve forgotten someone obvious that’s a pretty healthy group of players.
Just the right time to get all your heavy hitters fit, healthy and ready for the season.
Good work Dr Waller.
