Latest updates on the ‘BIG THREE’ that Rangers are trying to sign

Rangers’ transfer window has been an interesting place this summer, and the current big three topics for fans is the big three players that the club is currently working on. Ibrox Noise brings you the updates on Jose Cifuentes, Danilo and Jonathan Panzo.

Cifuentes:

Been strides here, sources tell us discussions are now advanced and the Ecuador international is finally closing in on the move to Ibrox. It’s been a protracted affair this one, haggling over the price and the details, but it seems a breakthrough has been achieved with LAFC and the player and it’s getting there. Word is announcement this week but we’ll see.

Danilo:

This one has stalled because Feyenoord need a replacement for both their defence of the Eredivisie, and their Champions League campaign. Until they have someone lined up to replace the Brazilian striker, this one isn’t going to go through. Not just yet. So a bit more time on this one before Rangers have their man, and it’s tricky, because Rangers need Danilo much earlier than Feyenoord need his replacement, because they’re straight into Pot 1 in the Champions League while Michael Beale’s men need the man for the qualifiers.

Jonathan Panzo:

Word here is Steve Cooper is interested in Panzo as cover for LB, and wants to use preseason to see if he’s up to it. Which means this transfer might not happen this window after all, and Rangers, for now, should stop wasting our time and work on someone who can come now.

So those three are the main ones for now, a mixed bag as it stands, and we’ll see what unfolds in the comings days and weeks.

  1. Stop low balling for Danilo put in offer nearer the asking price and I’m sure the deal can be done.
If Panzo looking unlikely move on, look somewhere else time is starting to run out if we want someone in place before we head into Europe. 💙💙
