Beale & Rangers are ready for Rodgers – sleeves are rolled up

As Rangers (and Celtic) fans are seeing, Brendan Rodgers will return to Parkhead to replace Ange Postecoglou and become Parkhead manager again.

And we at Ibrox Noise absolutely love it.

This panic signing is being made because they’re scared of Michael Beale and what he’s doing at Ibrox. The signing of Jack Butland, and the success of Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin have Parkhead aware Rangers will be far from a walkover next season, and they’ve tried to bring their a-game to rebut it.

And we at Ibrox Noise absolutely love it. Did we already say that?

See, Ibrox Noise is on record as saying we have had major misgivings about Michael Beale – he’s definitely made errors, he’s done unpopular things, and he is economical with the truth at best.

But, he’s ours – and this move from Celtic is because of him – it’s as if they’re laying a gauntlet down, and we are absolutely, 100% up for the fight.

That they’re appointing someone who dumped them for Leicester, who their fans wanted to bury six feet under, shows just what concern they have in the east for what Michael Beale is doing with Rangers in the (south) west.

This is such a flattering signing by them, and it just makes us back our man with a renewed sense of tribalism.

As regulars know we’ve not been Beale’s biggest fans for a while, backing the initial appointment hugely (above most fans we have to say) but having huge concerns after the 2-2 then League Cup final.

But this shows that lot are scared, and we are more than happy to roll our sleeves up, lift the gauntlet, and bring the fight to them.

They are champions, they were better than us last season, but the main tool of that is gone along with a disrupted squad and a panic signing.

As Rodgers’ old charge Steven Gerrard used to say, Bring It On.

Let’s go.
