Strange story claims Rangers’ path is ‘clear’ for Colak…

Some curious reports today claim Rangers’ pursuit of Antonio Colak could be back on after PAOK Salonika secured his replacement.

The problem is the ‘replacement’ is a right winger and isn’t for Colak’s striker position.

Either this player is a shift in PAOK’s policy and they just wanted an attacker, or this quite simply is poor reporting and the addition of Dusseldorf’s Khaled Narey has nothing to do with the sale of Colak.

He has also not been secured yet so if Rangers are to get their man, there’s a bit of paperwork yet to be done.

Colak, of course, is a pure striker, and he’s been especially prolific in Sweden and Croatia, but Narey is just a winger and not a related player, surely?

It would be like Rangers refusing to sell John Lundstram until we’ve signed a left back.

Completely unrelated.

But, we’ll see how it unfolds, if it does…
