Gheorghe Hagi has confirmed what Ibrox Noise reported to you earlier this year, and that Ianis is not scheduled to return to full-time football till the autumn.
The attacking midfielder had a serious injury in early spring and Ibrox Noise informed you he would be fortunate to return in early autumn, and now his father has confirmed a further four month recuperation with his state of recovery judged at around 50%.
He said:
At this point Hagi would be extremely fortunate to be back by early October, well into next season.
It’s a blow for him, and rather ridicules a few of the fans who genuinely expected him to be lining up for the Europa League final.
But then, it’s not really a blow, because this was the original prognosis for an injury this serious.
Rangers will have to plan for the summer without his services going into 22/33, but did reject a £6M bid for them from Galatasaray.
See how it all develops.
