In yet another astonishing boost for Rangers in Europe, highly-respected data site Swissfootballdata.com has confirmed Rangers as the 10th most successful team in European football over the past 5 years,

Thanks to Steven Gerrard then more significantly Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s achievements in the Europa League, only 9 teams are statistically better than Rangers the past half decade.

They are Bayern, Liverpool, Man City, PSG, Ajax, Salzburg, Red Star, Real, and Chelsea.

The inclusion of Salzburg and Red Star shows this is based on statistics, given we wouldn’t normally expect them among the luminaries of Europe, but Rangers’ entry at 10th is well-founded and deserved.

Rangers have without any doubt been one of the most consistent sides since 2017, with second placed finishes as well as league titles and cups, but it’s that Euro attainment which has us elevated up there to the top 10 in Europe.

Eintrach Frankfurt are nowhere to be seen in this list, and no surprises the green and white shower are AWOL too.

Sides below Rangers include Barca, Juve, Porto, Man Utd and Atletico Madrid.

Just another day at Ibrox.
