It’s time for the press to shut up as Rangers get serious

If there is one thing Ibrox Noise have always brought you over the past 10+ years, it’s transfer talk. We tell you what we hear, when we hear it. Some of it is bang on, like Morelos, like MOH, Dodoo, and more recently, Gerrard then Gio, and some of it turns out to be hot air. That’s the risk we take bringing you the info we get.

But if there’s one thing we’re not going to do for the next 9 days, it’s discuss outgoings, and while we did talk about how Barca are looking at Ryan Kent, we’re certainly not going to undermine UEL final prep by claiming, as the press are today, that one of our star players wants to leave.

We won’t name who, you’ve probably seen it, but at a time Rangers need 100% focus now on nothing else aside winning the Europa League, the last thing we’d dream of discussing is player exits or players who allegedly want to move on.

It’s unsettling, it’s unfair, it’s nonsense, and it’s undermining our bid to win the biggest trophy in our history.

Quite frankly, we think it’s a disgrace.

We get it, websites have clicks to get and papers have copies to sell, but for 9 days, surely they could stop using Rangers for attention in order to give us the best chance possible of winning the UEL?

If and when we do, they can absolutely go to town on us all they like, and use us for every inch of clickbait they want, but till then, Rangers need to focus on the task at hand.

We’d like to ask every decent outlet there is if they can just hold fire on this kind of nonsense until after next Wednesday.

Too much to ask?

  1. Fair comment to make but it is not only the press that have a pop at trying to make the Headlines let’s wait and see how long it will be before ex players and dare I say ex Rangers players have their dig at stirring up some kind of hearsay to get a piece of the action🥴
