Allan McGregor is to miss the Old Firm clash this weekend after picking up a groin strain in training, in what is a huge blow for the home side.
The veteran stopper, at his best in Europe and against Celtic, has been sparkling in recent times, and his absence on Sunday will be a gigantic boost for Celtic and a bitter gripe for Rangers, with Robby McCrorie slated for his second Celtic match in a row.
The young goalie had a baptism of fire and ran the goal in this fixture very well indeed last season, and his presence might soften the Greegsy blow somewhat, but end of the day, you want your best stopper and McGregor is currently in some of his best form.
It will be a big miss for Rangers who bid to draw level with Celtic in the table with a win this weekend but they’ll have to do it without McGregor.
Tough one.
There’s nothing to worry about we have always had great back up keepers so it’s a non story
