Gio has broken some excellent news this afternoon, confirming the return of Ryan Jack, Filip Helander and Aaron Ramsey to the match day squad to face Aberdeen.

Following on from recent days of major pessimism after the latest disappointing performance, at McDiarmid Park, this is a welcome boost and confirms Gio was right to be optimistic about both the Swede and the Scot returning for the weekend.

It also demonstrates Ramsey’s willingness to get fit is deep-rooted and we may get to see the man play after all.

Gio confirmed the only absentees for the weekend are, obviously Ianis Hagi, plus Amad Diallo and Steven Davis, but we knew Diallo wasn’t to be available till next week, which GVB explained at the last presser.

While things have not gone perfectly on the pitch recently, this is a welcome boost, a nice change, to have players coming back and available again, in a match where our opponents will be 150% to try to beat us, even more than usual.

New manager, dreadful form, and needing the right result to kick start the Goodwin era.

So Rangers having at least Jack and Helander back is huge. Absolutely huge.
