GVB has addressed the substitution criticism over the past two matches by admitting he ‘doesn’t care’ how many subs he makes, all he cares about is winning the match.

Following zero subs v St Johnstone fans were quick to criticise the lack of changes, but Gio’s defence is disinterest in those views and while the display was not vintage midweek, the 3 points did vindicate his view.

Gio isn’t interested in what people think of him, to quote him he’s ‘not bothered’ by what criticism may or may not come in over what he does, and as long as he wins matches, he’s absolutely right to distance himself from such attacks.

Fans do, of course, have every right to question, and we have done so ourselves even though we’re big backers of Gio and support him all the way, and we agree he absolutely doesn’t have to listen to a word of it.

As long as he gets the results back, he will be justified in having ignored the aggro, but of course, if the patchy results continue, the critics will only get noisier.

Whether that’s right or wrong.
