Steven Gerrard has revealed zero bids whatsoever have been received for any Rangers player at all this summer, aside George Edmundson, and of course he was sold.

With all the summer speculation over Alfredo Morelos, Glen Kamara, Borna Barisic, Filip Helander, Ianis Hagi and just about every other asset Rangers have, not a single genuine bid has actually arrived from any interested party, Edmundson notwithstanding.

The loss of our eastern chums from the CL and the potential £60M jackpot Rangers could secure for getting to the groups ourselves definitely changes the climate and necessity for selling players, and with no submissions coming in for any of them, there is once again the strong possibility Rangers could in fact retain all their best stars.

It had been believed for a long time that Rangers would be likely to sell at least one major asset this summer, but that was on a ‘balancing the books’ basis – with the CL money, should Rangers get there, to exclusively arrive at Ibrox, that need and likelihood have both reduced massively, and the chance of keeping all our best players beyond this summer is now stronger than ever.

But no bids to stop that from happening have come in at all, and that is very telling.
