Rangers are at the centre of a double transfer saga with potentially £45M+ on the line after Porto were reported to be angling for Alfredo Morelos, rated at £20M, while Brentford and Watford were moving in on £25M+ rated Glen Kamara.

The media is claiming Kamara will go for £10M but this is of course absolute poppycock and Rangers seek well into the £20Ms for him, while Porto are hell-bent on Morelos but Rangers will not entertain the silly £11M numbers the press have quoted for him.

In short, Rangers do not have to sell either player, and certainly not at significantly under the market rate, despite what the press would tell you, and as Steven Gerrard reported some years ago, Rangers players will sell for the proper ‘new’ prices and not the old undercut ones which devalued our assets.

Will either player go? It’s feasible.

Watford, Porto and Brentford all have good money and Kamara and Morelos are coveted assets who will enhance any team.

But first and foremost they’re Rangers players.

Of course, Rangers don’t have Kamara for the CL until the potential group stage, with his ban applying at that point, but whether that makes a difference we couldn’t tell you.

Either way, forget the silly numbers the press allege, Rangers seek premium dollar.
