Kent to resist major PL bids for crack at CL with Rangers
GLASGOW, SCOTLAND - JANUARY 02: Ryan Kent of Rangers is challenged by Kristoffer Ajer of Celtic during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Rangers and Celtic at Ibrox Stadium on January 02, 2021 in Glasgow, Scotland. Hot on the heels of the brilliant Steven Gerrard news that our manager is 99% certain to remain at Ibrox for next season, his record signing Ryan Kent is to follow suit and resist any overtures from the PL as well.

Rangers’ £7.5M has been subject to intense speculation over his future, with Leeds United the main suitors, but after a failed £8.5M bid last summer, it had been strongly anticipated that they will come back with a bid approaching double that into the £15M range.

But while Rangers are said to value him around 3 times what they paid, it matters not if a bid of that amount arrives – Kent wants to give the Champions League a crack, and it appears his personal life remains settled in Glasgow and the Oldham-born winger has no desire to make the switch south yet.

Like any top class English player, the PL is an ambition for down the line, but information is he’s happy here and he will reject Leeds and pretty much anyone else in England for Rangers, a crack at 56 and of course the Champions League next season.

Kent is likely to make the move south at some point – he’s too good a talent to waste away in the barren lands of the SPL, which is a crutch which holds Rangers back… and we’ll get to ‘that’ in a later entry.

But for now, and potentially another season if not more, Kent will tear your defence apart, again and again, for Rangers.

  1. Fabulous news . Kent is on his day WC . He is a massive impact player. Really pleased . Young Wright will keep him on his toes too as he presses for a start . Good news about SG too he will stay at least 2 more seasons I believe. Let’s hope the Transfer Plan is in action, we will need DM and CM creator . Another LB and a RW. I do fancy the Patterson RW potential, he’s defo got the engine for it . Exciting times again for The Famous
