And let’s not kid ourselves. This was a journey like no other.

No other team has had to go down to the bottom league, and be left with just their youth team, and lest we forget, were forbidden from signing any new players for the first few months.

No other team has had to contend with a management team who squandered over £70 million in just two years in the lower leagues, and wrote commercial contracts that seemed designed to financially crippled their own team.

No other team has to crawl its way back, and not only won the Premiership, but also are now looking to win the Europa League from 10 years’ rebuilding.

From the management team who did not care, to the lows of being gubbed by Motherwell during that playoff, and the regular humiliations against Celtic, these are all parts of that long journey which is now complete, and we, the fans, were with them every single step of the way.

From the players who put on the jersey in the very first days, to those who busted a gut to beat Celtic, to the ground staff who work nights to get the ground ready, this league victory is for every single one of us.

Every player, the good and the bad in the last 10 years has played their part, in one way or another, in making this journey memorable.

This is a record-breaking club, which just never gave up, and we at Ibrox Noise want to thank every single one of us for sharing the pains and the joys over the past 10 years.

And unlike the other half, we are proud, not because we stopped their stupid 9.5, but because we know we have bigger fish to fry.

We are now becoming feared again in Europe. The English teams just don’t know it yet, but we are ready for them, and in Europe the next part of the journey has just begun.

  1. Really good article Derek . We have as you say really suffered from all directions the SFuckingA SFfpl and those Rangers hating backstabbing diddy teams that showed us no respect. Also at the hands of poor governance by charlatans only interested in stealing money at any cost to our name and great history. WATP right enough we’ve done it with no support from anyone but Real Rangers People . It’s been painful sometimes but I’m so proud .
