So, what do we want today? Hmmm?

Rangers fans have a bit of a dilemma as Celtic take to the field to try and halt 55 from happening as a result of their own ineptitude on the weekend.

As we know, Celtic require a win to stop Rangers from securing title 55, and in doing so will take the fight in a showdown to Parkhead where the Famous can nail the title on their patch for the second time in 22 years.

But of course, there’s a point of interest here – it’s not just what us Rangers fans want to see, it’s what Celtic want to do.

They could easily chuck Sunday’s match to stop Rangers winning on their turf; cowardly, yes, but slightly less humiliating for them, and maybe slightly less satisfying for Rangers fans?

Stevie G has already confirmed he wants it finalised ASAP and if that means by the end of play this afternoon, that would be the end play this afternoon.

But Celtic have a point of defiance to express as well.

Some part of them might feel they want to resist the inevitable, and win today, somehow win the Old Firm and then let us secure the title for ourselves by winning the following match, which would of course be the opening split fixture.

It’s not impossible Rangers might have to win 55 by overcoming a top 6 team, probably on their turf.

Of course, that’s hardly scary – no one in this league is good enough to stop us. But our one slight weakness this season has been the away form, with four draws and quite a few ground-out wins.

Or… they could just chuck it tomorrow and save the hassle.

Or they win tomorrow and we go to Parkhead and take the title.

It’s a lot of interesting dilemmas about how this one plays out, and it will certainly require popcorn.
