Bitter Roy Keane couldn’t help continuing his ‘controversy’ and complete lack of sporting grace by refusing to congratulate Rangers on their title and saying only that Celtic would be back.

The former Celtic ‘player’ (and we use that loosely given how awful he was for them) and indeed Man Utd captain couldn’t hate Rangers and Steven Gerrard more if he tried, and naturally was asked to show sportsmanship and offer his best wishes to Rangers and the former Liverpool player.

He refused, point blank, offering no sense of dignity or grace, bringing shame upon himself and those decent minded fans of other teams who have congratulated Rangers today.

It doesn’t matter if he despises Gerrard, doesn’t matter if he despises Rangers – great sportsmen and women show dignity in defeat and offer a graceful congratulations.

Keane couldn’t even do that.

Oh he must be hurting…
