Leeds ready to ‘waste their time’ on Ryan Kent

Leeds ready to ‘waste their time’ on Ryan Kent
He's 99% staying.

The latest stuff on Ryan Kent is really all rather convenient. As we all know, Kent is settled in Scotland on a number of levels, and not only will he not leave, but it’s been alleged Leeds won’t even meet his release clause.

A reported £20M sum is required for Rangers to give Kent the decision, which he’d refuse anyway, but reports are that the Elland Road side won’t bid that amount, and will come back in with something above the £10M but not to the £20M.

So, our conjecture would suggest somewhere in the region of £15M, which is just a laughable amount now.

We don’t know why Leeds, if they are, are even bothering with this complete waste of everyone’s time.

Kent’s value is well beyond any alleged £20M release fee, and is closer to double that. His form this season is sizzling, he has zero desire to move, and Rangers have no desire to sell him.

He’s also young, English, and an attacker, and those are worth a hell of a lot of money.

So if Leeds do come in with a 50% increase in the submission, it will be guffawed out of town and the whole thing will be forgotten.

As for the ‘convenience’? Well Rangers have been exceptional this season and Kent has been a major part of that, and it’s almost like someone is trying to unsettle him, and being honest, he wasn’t quite at his vintage best in Edinburgh, despite a vital opening assist.

Sooner the window is closed and he’s still here the better.

  1. £10m barely gives us a profit given Liverpool’s supposed 20% sell on clause. £15m just doesn’t represent enough of a profit given the window we have given Kent and the belief we have shown in him and the chance we took on his signing. It must be at least £20m but it will be a disaster for our season if we sell him now. Surely the club know this.
