Made a bad call?

Rangers fans believe Steven Gerrard made a mistake selling Greg Docherty, especially at a 50% loss.

The former fan favourite, cast out by the new manager, is now a Hull City midfielder, at a sale of only £350,000, but never stood a chance at Ibrox under Gerrard for reasons we might never fully know, and so we asked you the Ibrox Noise readers how you felt about Docherty’s sale.

After all, only 5% of you had seemed interested in keeping him alone in an earlier poll – had that thinking changed?

Well, overwhelmingly so, it turns out.

In a recent poll, 82% of you condemned the decision to ship him out, with just 18% endorsing the call.

Interestingly, one of those 18% invoked the sarcastic clause that it’s a pity our manager doesn’t know a midfielder – but of course, the same boss signed Lassana Coulibaly and Ovie Ejaria and continued to select and defend the latter till the very end.

That would be the appeal to authority fallacy kicking in there, folks.

  1. IN – any way you can stop complaining about Greg Docherty? He is not a Rangers player.
He is a great supporter as you are. He would not in any way fitted into the game today.

Let this go. It does get tiring.

  2. I have said from the beginning he was worth a chance to prove himself. He did everything at Shrewsbury and Hibs that was expected of him. And more. So why does he not even get a chance at Rangers?
    Not happy.
