Morelos and two key Stevie men axed in major cull
Do Rangers need him or not?

Steven Gerrard has rung the changes following last week’s dismal draw at Livi, with the dropping of Glen Kamara, Ianis Hagi and of course, as we told you, Alfredo Morelos.

The former two make the bench, the latter is axed from the match day squad and has probably played his last match as a Ranger, although we’ve said that before.

Brandon Barker and Kemar Roofe not to mention Cedric Itten, as we suggested, come in, and the formation is likely to be, in truth, uncertain, as we don’t have a 10 in the XI and only two midfielders for a 4-3-3.

But Gerrard will be hoping his cull of the XI and wholesale changes will bring about an improved display, and for all that fans have whined about his inability to alter things, now that he has, fans have naturally reacted with horror and claim the lineup is weak.

As much as we have criticism of Stevie at times, he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

What is a must is three points, but against Killie it won’t be easy.

  1. Complete Fuckin shambles if you ask me,i think Gerrard is losing the plot, sell the best and buy shite ffs get a grip,we need to steady the ship here, too much fucking about, all this tranfer bull is upsetting the team, and if el Buffalo is not in the frame of mind then thats the managers fault not his,so if your not up to the job then time to move on now before its too late here,This shite is not good enough for the Famous

  2. Sorry but that was another poor performance , 50 minutes of lateral sideways slash with little to no penetration. Anybody watching/scouting Rangers will know exactly how to press the games and frustrate . Roofe looked good , Kent is always dangerous but we still lack the killer finishing and movement .

  3. Brandon Barker why? Surely Jones Murphy or Stewart are better options. 3 points against a blanket defence onward to Hamilton next.week

  4. Jesus, thank Goodness we won.
Benny, it is no surprise good players want to move to better leagues where they get paid more, face fewer thugs, get more protection from refs and a fair shake from the media. There was no surprise in Buff wanting to move. Maybe dropping him will get his head out of his arse and back in the game – until he goes. Frankly, I would not advise him to move to a team which has just bought a younger striker for more money and made it clear he will be their number one.
He would be better advised to get back to work and wait for a mid table EPL team.
Bill, teams in Scotland will always press the Old Firm, we started 3 players who don’t normally play for the Famous, will take them a bit more time to gel, let’s give them it.
FFS, it is 91 years since we didn’t lose a goal in first 5 games. Where are all the Tav haters today and the Goldson slaggers? neither are my favourite players, but let’s get behind the team.
