Rangers forward ‘quits for London’…

Rangers’ youth has struggled to break through the past few years, and Ibrox Noise has been on record with our thoughts over that, and sadly it isn’t about to get any better after reports reached us that Nathan Young-Coombes is returning to London permanently to join West Ham.

After the 17-year old’s bright start, he has notably faded from the development squad, which is which we only just remembered about him lately in dire straits with our striker predicament.

But it has been reported the youngster wants to leave, and Rangers won’t stand in his way, with the deal to the London Stadium nearly complete.

It is a hell of a shame – the kid showed extraordinary promise and Rangers felt like we’d got something back from Chelsea after the Billy Gilmour disappointment, but it looks like it hasn’t worked out despite his bright start and promise in the UEFA Youth League.

No, this is another one who won’t make the cut at Ibrox, albeit on this occasion it’s more down the player seemingly wanting to leave and go home.

We had high hopes for his future in Govan – his talent as a 10 was unmistakable, but the past calendar year he’s noticeably faded from being included in the reserves or dev squad teams, and at the point of his career he’s at, he should be in that XI regularly.

It’s a real pity, but if he wants to go, he wants to go.

Can’t keep an unhappy player.
