While the Ibrox men have not reportedly ‘closed the door’ on the signing, the competition from Europe and Championship clubs may hike the Albanian/Swiss striker’s price considerably to a point Rangers may feel priced out.
Polish giants Lech Poznan, some German teams and aforementioned Championship outfits, as yet unnamed, are said to be circling the forward who is 100% finished at parent club Hibs following his pro-Rangers comments in January.
Against the signing is the fact Rangers acted so swiftly to tie up £3M man Ianis Hagi, but in this case nothing has been forthcoming about the dynamic attacker suggesting if Rangers had wanted him they’d have snapped him up quicker than this.
Of course, as mentioned, no clause was included in his deal, it was literally a loan with no purchase obligation, and with his time at Easter Road certainly finished Kamberi may have to leave Scotland entirely to get football now.
More as we get it.
