There have been some contradicting reports about Glen Kamara – while some stories suggest the Finn is up for sale in January, others claim in fact the opposite, that he’s about to sign an extension, but either way the 23-year old, fresh from Euro qualification to next summer’s tournament is one we’re keeping an eye on.
And we ran a poll recently to see how you view him.
The responses were hardly overly positive, in a surprise sense, and we learned he’s verging on dispensable and certainly isn’t regarded as one of the club’s most crucial assets.
In said recent Ibrox Noise poll, only 30% of fans wanted Kamara to stay regardless of any bids, with a whopping 66% happy to sell if the bid was suitable. 4% saw him as expendable.
Of course, many might argue that this could apply to any player, but we suspect strongly that the likes of Ryan Jack, Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos and Borna Barisic are approaching ‘keep at all costs’ territory, despite the reality that Morelos is likely to leave in the future.
Kamara definitely doesn’t enjoy the same popularity and importance among the support, even if his recent performances have been slightly better.
We did expect a bigger Rangers future for him, we must say.
