On the subject of polls, following yesterday’s on Glen Kamara in which Ibrox Noise readers confirmed the Fin isn’t one they’d stand overly in the way of, we also bring you the results of another survey we carried out.
With Greg Docherty’s Rangers career looking bleak at best (save for the unpredictables of injury and suspension) we wanted to know how our readers felt about his prospects.
You’ll probably know how highly we’ve always rated him on the site, with the one-time notion that this kid is a future Rangers captain, a prospect which, at present, we unfortunately no longer can envisage, but not down to any failings on the lad’s part.
But manager Steven Gerrard hasn’t been interested in him from the get-go – and we wondered if the fans agreed.
In another Ibrox Noise poll, yet again an overwhelming majority of 80% suggested they wanted to see the ex-Hamilton man given a greater opportunity at Ibrox, while only 20% were happy that he’s out of the picture.
Let’s face it, fans are never going to agree with the manager on everything, but as long as the side is winning, those concerns get thrown on the backburner.
But we guess it would just be nice if a player popular with the fans was given more of an opportunity to show why.
