After a pretty horrific ten days for Rangers, and a delayed Dundee match or two in there, we finally get back to the action proper and a trip to Dens for good measure.

Rangers manager Philippe Clement had something of an injury update for the fans, and Ibrox Noise brings you’re the latest on the squad and who’s available and who isn’t.

Leon Balogun:

In a nonsensical announcement, the boss stated the Nigerian was ‘sick’ the past few days, despite him sitting happily (well, not so happily, but you get our point) on the bench on Sunday. So, is he actually saying Balogun isn’t available tomorrow? We’re not completely sure to tell the truth.

Ridvan Yilmaz:

This one is looking worse than initially feared – Ridvan’s camp put out optimistic overtures that he had a chance of being fit for the Old Firm, but it’s more complicated than that. Clement has now been saying for three weeks that the boy was to be out for days rather than weeks, and that’s clearly false. Ridvan has now missed approaching a month of football (he went off injured on the 22nd of last month), and the manager hopes to have him back for Hearts at Hampden in the semi. We’re not sure we’re buying that either.

Mohamed Diomande:

This one is looking more complex than first suspected as well. Dio was injured v Celtic, his thumb, apparently, and underwent a minor procedure on it. He then missed Ross County and will miss Dundee as well. There’s no ETA on here.

Ryan Jack:

He’s as good as out for the season, calf problems again, club is looking at ‘different solutions’ but with 6+ matches to go, the chances of the lad playing again this season are near-zero.

Oscar Cortes:

There is a slim chance of him being fit for the final 7-10 days of the campaign but they’re optimistic at best.

Danilo:

Same as Cortes. We’d suggest writing both of them off.

So there’s now 5 men definitively out and a weird maybe on Leon Balogun. It doesn’t help the cause much at the moment if we’re honest.
