Rangers hit five-year low with new unwanted record

A five-year record Rangers didn’t want to equalise has been laid bare after the dismal failure to overcome Dundee on Wednesday, as the side went three SPL matches without a win for the first time in half a decade.

That obviously isn’t going to change this weekend, with it being cup action v Hearts, but not even the worst of Steven Gerrard post-2019, Giovanni van Bronckhorst at his worst in 22/23 or the woeful Michael Beale who completely collapsed earlier this season descended into this much muck.

Fans continue to blame the players, but by the same logic of them saying ‘it’s the same players’ that let down previous managers, the unwanted records under this manager are now appearing, and getting only worse.

He was one Rabbi Matondo equaliser from causing Rangers to lose their first 3 Old Firms in a season for the first time ever, and that would have been ignominy.

But as it is, the form has entirely collapsed over the past 8 matches, and while Clement is currently in his presser at the time of writing claiming his players are ‘hungry’ and that they will respond this weekend, well, we’ve heard this rubbish before from this manager.

He can’t be trusted any more, not with the utter mince he spouts, just like his predecessor did, and going three matches in the league without winning is a new low for the post-promotion Gerrard era.

Do we support him? We will always support Rangers and the manager.

We want him to prove us wrong, but he’s giving us very little ammo with which to do that.

A cup semi win this weekend would be helpful, but we’re not holding our breath at all for this.

Hearts are in much better form, have a much more in form striker, and actually have a defence.

It could be a tough one.
