Philippe Clement has confirmed Tom Lawrence and now Danilo are out for the year and won’t be back till 2024 at the earliest, adding to Scott Wright, Ryan Jack and Nico Raskin and Kemar Roofe and Rabbi Matondo’s general sensitiveness as the Rangers injury blight continues on.
It’s a preposterous, ridiculous, and diabolical set of affairs that despite Clement’s promises of improvements in this area, there really aren’t any, and it seems like every new match loses Rangers one player, maybe two.
Lawrence is 100% confirmed out till late January, Danilo may be out even longer, meaning the Brazilian is turning into an absolute disaster of a signing, to add to all the sicknotes Rangers seem to have stealing a wage from the club.
Yes, even Ibrox Noise is willing to use some of the cruder language the fanbase often resort to, the number of players the club has who are either never fit or frequently break down is just horrendous, and it means in Danilo’s case it’s costing us £40,000 a week plus that initial £6M transfer fee to treat him in the medical room.
It is so far off ideal it’s ridiculous, and Rangers are now missing, effectively, 7 players, two of whom are still ‘coming back’ from injury and nowhere near their full pelt, so they have to be counted as tentative at best, and will likely break down any second again anyway.
Lawrence’s wage is not gigantic at least at a reported £20,000, but just like Roofe and now-departed Helander, Rangers are getting so few appearances from him for the outlay be it wages or fee that it has to be wondered ‘what on earth is going on’.
We couldn’t even guess who the heck will be available for the League Cup final at this point.
That Danilo sounds like a fkn stichup
Get him tfk asap fkn donkey
This seems to be a new trend at ibrox
Sit your arse n get a giro
New policy-all injury prone get RID
Sounds like the ibrox hotel is back in full swing full of crocks
