Rangers injury update reveals new Ibrox blow for Aberdeen
Clement giving the latest bad news on injuries....

Rangers have been hit by three ‘new’ injury blows for Aberdeen after it was confirmed by Philippe Clement that Ryan Jack is now a doubt, and that Nico Raskin hasn’t made it. Kemar Roofe, as Ibrox Noise suggested, isn’t quite there yet either despite involvement in matchdays squads.

Jack’s new injury is no surprise, and does highlight his perennial unreliability, just like his Jamaican team mate Roofe, with both players’ Rangers careers suffering a tonne of injury blight, albeit the ex-Leeds man’s situation is even worse than Jack’s.

As for Raskin, just isn’t ready in time, and isn’t in contention for a place on Sunday.

It does affect midfield a lot – Ibrox Noise had predicted a Lundstram and Jack midfield, for continuity purposes, even if the Scotland international hasn’t been at his magical best this season, but that could well be out of the window, and Raskin isn’t available to replace him.

This means there’s a strong chance Jose Cifuentes will finally get his Clement chance to show what he can do alongside John Lundstram, with the ex-Sheffield star in fine form at the moment.

But there’s no doubt that Jack and Raskin’s potential dual unavailability for Sunday is a big blow and one Rangers could have done without.

We’ve gone from potentially having all four CM/DMs available to now having just two.

Not ideal.
