A late change to PSV’s Champions League roster to face Rangers will, after all, see new loan signing from Bayern Munich and ex-Rangers man Malik Tillman travel to the UK after all, with a chance of facing his old side, amid further surprise that the manager fed a porkie about new signing Noa Lang as well.

Sadly, Peter Bosz took Ibrox Noise’s advice with the trojan horse he has in his squad and added Tillman to the group coming to Govan as of today, and while many of the players Tillman played with last season are no longer at Ibrox, he still has a very big insight into the home defence, given there is no one new in there who will actually play tomorrow.

A statement from PSV read:

Head coach Peter Bosz has named latest signing Sergiño Dest in his 22-man squad for PSV’s first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-offs against Rangers FC on Tuesday, 22 August.

The match at the Ibrox Stadium gets underway at 21.00. The play-off winners will enter the group stage. The return leg takes place in the Philips Stadion on Wednesday, 30 August.

Phillipp Mwene and Patrick van Aanholt, who featured against SK Sturm Graz, did not make the traveling party due to injuries. Summer signings Sergiño Dest, Malik Tilman and Jerdy Schouten are all eligible to play against Glasgow Rangers.

PSV squad
Goalkeepers: Walter Benítez, Joël Drommel & Boy Waterman.
Defenders: Jordan Teze, André Ramalho, Olivier Boscagli, Sergiño Dest & Shurandy Sambo.
Midfielders: Ibrahim Sangaré, Guus Til, Joey Veerman, Tygo Land, Isaac Babadi, Ismael Saibari, Malik Tilman & Jerdy Schouten.
Forwards: Luuk de Jong, Anwar El Ghazi, Johan Bakayoko, Yorbe Vertessen, Ricardo Pepi & Noa Lang.

Lang is in there too, PSV’s star player and most expensive-ever signing, after Bosz alleged the attacker would not be travelling to Rangers for this one.

As we can see, that wasn’t overly true either.
