Rangers’ German preseason is in full swing and Ibrox Noise now brings you the key players NOT currently on the camp and why.

Without further ado:

Despite some absolute mince in the Rangers clickbait press, Ben Davies is very much in attendance. So we thought we’d get that one out of the way first.

But those absent?

Glen Kamara:

No clear reason but the assumption is he’s working on a move out, with Besiktas said to be the strongest suitor. Michael Beale addressed him saying the Fin came back a week ago to Auchenhowie, but he’s not made it to the summer camp and it’s probably a safe bet that’s the way it will remain.

Tom Lawrence:

Michael Beale confirmed pre-Germany that Lawrence would not be ready for this trip, so isn’t there, but the hope is the Wales international will be fit by the time the lads get back from their camp. But honestly we’re not holding out any guarantees.

Connor Goldson:

Another one who has been long term injured but isn’t in Germany of what we’ve seen, Goldson was slated initially for preseason but didn’t make it, and Beale confirmed the date of return has changed to the start of the season. But we don’t expect this to transpire.

Nico Raskin:

Thankfully this one is totally benign – he’s resting up after international duty with his country’s U21s in Europe this summer. He’s fine.

And from what we’ve seen, the rest of Rangers’ players are all in attendance in Germany, which means a very healthy squad overall. Even Kemar Roofe is there and in good condition, alongside fellow (ex?) injury sufferer John Souttar.

So that’s the state of play.

  1. I read today Dujon Sterling is not at the training camp due to an injury, not exactly sure what the injury is or even if this is true. 💙💙
