Ibrox exodus continues as we ask ‘who’s leaving Rangers?’

With Michael Beale’s confirmation that Allan McGregor is to leave Rangers this summer, Ibrox Noise wanted to sum up the state of play at the moment.

Who is definitely leaving, who is likely leaving, that sort of thing.

Without further ado:

Allan McGregor – we know now he’s moving on or retiring. His contract isn’t being renewed and he’s chosen to quit.

Alfredo Morelos – Michael Beale confirmed that a week ago. Morelos will be leaving this summer, no new deal.

Funnily enough those are the only two officially-confirmed exits.

But now, with a spot of sources, and educated guesswork, the other likely exits are:

Jon McLaughlin – will be freed.
Scott Wright – also to be freed.
Filip Helander – end of contract, more chance of Celtic saying sorry for something than a new deal here.
Ryan Kent – end of contract, looking for his next club.
Steven Davis – end of contract, currently injured. Very unlikely to get a new deal.
Malik Tillman – already gone, won’t be joining permanently.
Antonio Colak – to be sold. Not in Michael Beale’s plans, sadly.
Glen Kamara – if an even quarter-decent offer comes in, he’s gone.
Ben Davies – we understand the club is looking for offers.
Scott Arfield – there’s no new deal forthcoming here, as things stand he’s leaving.

There will be more, many more, but Rangers are looking at serious surgery and while yesterday’s Old Firm was a great result, it didn’t strictly change an awful lot. We still are short in many areas, but the match gave SOME food for thought.

It certainly gave a case to Ridvan Yilmaz, a massive one to John Souttar and one to Robby McCrorie, and we do wonder how that has affected Michael Beale’s thinking.

Ibrox Noise’s Ross made a strong case for Ridvan, and yesterday we saw some of why, even despite a few ‘enlightened’ individuals explaining that article was wrong. They’ve gone quiet as well…

But we digress.

There will be a lot of exits, some have been 100% confirmed, some are 90% confirmed, and others are very heavily speculated through sources.

A summer of change is upon us.
