Hibernian have confirmed two of their own supporters have been charged over the flare and objects hurled onto the Easter Road pitch midweek, but we see no apology in the media or from Hibs themselves at the mudslinging at Rangers fans after the accusations levied at our club and fans.
Yes, NS was sung when it shouldn’t have been, but no Rangers fans did anything that was claimed by high-profile Rangers sites and anti-Rangers fans, and the club has confirmed this:
So, no, not one of ours, no, not a Rangers fan or fans plural, but home fans.
Home fans disgracing their own tribute by hurling missiles and flares onto the pitch and disrupting the occasion, and which the press immediately used as an attack on Rangers and quoted our fans as being this and that and the other.
And which other ‘Rangers’ sites used for traffic to beat our fans down with too, refusing to look into the information they were reporting and failing to double-check if it was accurate.
So yes, Hibs fans charged, they shamed their club and their fellow fans by doing this, and we imagine more fans will be charged with disorder as their club looks deeper into this.
Do you think Rangers and our fans will get an apology for the negative headlines?
We doubt it heavily, they use our name for clicks but when it comes to honesty and the truth, that doesn’t matter a jot to them.
