Rangers’ red hot striker Antonio Colak has been recognised globally after he was confirmed as a legitimate candidate for this season’s Golden Shoe following his latest brace.
The Croatian superstar of Govan has been a staggering revelation since he joined the Famous, taking just one match to get up to speed before netting against Livi which was incorrectly ruled out.
Thereafter his goal return has been the stuff of legends with only three men in Europe ahead of him domestically, and just two ahead of him for the season.
Erland Haaland, obviously, is number one with a ridiculous 20 goals and 3 assists in 13 appearances. But Serbia’s Milan Bojovic has an outstanding 10 goals and 3 assists in 14 while Bulgaria’s Ivaylo Chochev has 12 in 12 and 2 assists.
However, Haaland and Colak are the only two to have scored in Europe as well, with the other two not having European football, but just two very poor domestic leagues instead.
So in reality, aside Haaland, Colak really is in a class and league of his own this season and is quite literally, Norwegian sensation notwithstanding, the top-performing striker in the whole of Europe.
And that’s official. In case you’d forgotten, Colak is 13 goals and 2 assists in 16.
Pretty much the best use Rangers have made of £3M in a long, long time.
Just grateful we have Colak as where would we be without him ? We certainly cannot rely on Alfie the kebab muncher anymore, just pray that Colak doesn’t pick up any injuries but suspect the lesser teams or sellik supporting players will be getting told, hurt the boy
Haaland is not a patch on goalak! hahahaha
Great 3 million spent ,sure diamond in amongst the rough we purchased in the summer .
