Any Rangers fan who thinks our team cannot get a result on Wednesday might as well go and support another team, after Jurgen Klopp’s side capitulated once again, this time to Arsenal, before the Anfield chief admitted, barely into October, that his side is finished regarding any title push.

This Liverpool stink. Can we just say this?

Despite the CV, despite the PL titles and UCL titles in recent seasons, this Liverpool is exactly the level the one Celtic beat in 2003, a Houllier-level Liverpool who Rangers unforgivably gave way, way too much respect to.

We know Arsenal are pretty strong this season, Ibrox Noise’s resident finance whiz Greg is a huge fan of the Gooners and follows them with a keen eye, so we know they’re no mugs.

But a Liverpool even 50% its normal level would have overrun any Arsenal in recent seasons, their soft centre formerly being a huge issue for Mikel Arteta.

But now?

Now Liverpool are nowhere, miles off their old selves, and most of their team is far from performing.

So Rangers don’t just have a chance on Wednesday, frankly just starting to hit a bit of form Giovanni’s side should win against a hapless Scouse army well off the boil, low in morale and most of their players not in form.

The defeatist tactics Gio put out last week as well as the players’ own fear were ridiculous – a side there for the taking and Rangers were too cowardly to try.

This has to change come Wednesday. Liverpool are a shadow of their old selves, and Rangers have a major chance to take them.

So bring it on.
